Still Life in Oils
The demonstration covers the complete step by step process that he uses - from the drawing to the underpainting (in acrylic for speed), and the final painting in oils. He will show glazing, building up the colours in layers and reflective and organic subjects. How to create reflections and texture will be included.

Jen Gash - Talk : ‘My experiences on Sky Landscape Artist of the Year and...how to find interest in a landscape that you didn’t choose!’
Jen Gash is a local artist, who has painted all of her life. In 2018 she became a local celebrity winning Sky Landscape Artist of the Year. She had fantastic time, learning so much about herself and her approach to painting. Jen will be sharing this experience and her journey through the competition including the lessons she learned which will help all aspiring painters.

Demonstration by Tony Homer. "Using boats to create a powerful composition"
Tony will be painting boats within their environment which could include dock buildings and landscape. He uses acrylics and works from his sketchbooks and drawings done on site. He likes to use bold colour, texture and contrasts in his work.
